About the author

My name is Debbie and I was a primary school teacher for 20 years, specialising in Reception and Y1.  I told the Stevie stories to the many children that passed through my class, and my colleagues suggested that I should get them printed. When I “retired” from full time teaching to Home Educate two of my children, the Stevie stories came to light again! I decided to print one and see what happened, the rest, as they say, is history! 

I have four children with whom I have shared my love of books. Bedtime stories were always a special time for us all, snuggling up together, with me making up the “voices” and dramatising the stories! My children were the inspiration for the Stevie stories and I am excited that they are ultimately responsible for my journey as an author.

I hope that through my stories I can continue to foster a love of books and reading.
